This was at 9pm. Sooooo I did what any resourceful mom would do. I got to baking. And then I trotted down to the basement and found some things to make it pretty: Mason jars and ribbon.
This just goes to show you that a simple cookie recipe (Toll House in this case.), a Mason jar, and a bow on it can solve all your problems.
I hope everyone is having a holiday season filled with joy and family.
Sarah
Good thinking! Nothing wrong with that, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I came to your blog because I thought you hadn't posted in awhile and found this one but I never received it in my email. It's only a day late so maybe it will still come?
Hey there, Aileen! Thanks for stopping by. Not sure why you didn't get your email. I got mine yesterday. I signed up to test when my readers would get theirs, which clearly isn't working.
DeleteHave a great holiday with your family!!
Sarah
I did get mine. The same day I mentioned it. haha
DeleteOh good! Happy New Year to you and your family. :)
DeleteHappy New Year to you and yours, too, Sarah!!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Sarah!!!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! I've really noticed (at least in my/our circle) a decline in home cooked and baked goods being given as gifts in the last decade or so. It was such a standard occurrence when I was little, but now it's so rare that it feels all the more like the truly special present that it is. Thank you for reminding us of this, sweet lady.
ReplyDeleteMany hugs,
♥ Jessica
